Attorney Marques Lipton began practicing bankruptcy law right out of law school in 2009, during the height of the Great Recession when high unemployment and a waive of foreclosures caused financial devastation for thousands of Massachusetts families. He was heart-struck by the stories he heard from people who had lost their jobs, savings and even their homes, and became dedicated to helping them recover and get a fresh start. Attorney Lipton understands the hardships his clients are facing, and he provides them guidance and advocacy with compassion, empathy and respect.

Attorney Lipton has been a frequent lecturer on bankruptcy and business topics including at the 2018 American Bankruptcy Institute Consumer Bankruptcy Forum, 2016 New England Bankruptcy Law Conference and the 2015 American Bankruptcy Institute Consumer Bankruptcy Forum. In 2019, he was named a Rising Star by Super Lawyers.

Attorney Lipton has published numerous articles on bankruptcy related topics including for organizations such as the American Bankruptcy Institute, Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education and the Boston Bar Association. In 2018, Mr. Lipton was selected to co-chair the Consumer Bankruptcy Committee of the Boston Bar Association’s Bankruptcy Law Section.
